SafeworkCM is providing construction management services for the Town’s new $24M Aquatic and Recreation Center. The project is one-of-a-kind for the Town and will be a much-welcomed gathering place for residents. The 40,000 sf single story building includes a Natatorium, Gymnasium, offices, multi-purpose room and supporting spaces. The site work consists of hardscape, landscape, new paving, parking spaces, solar panels, retention basins and perimeter fencing over a 3.35-acre site. The building will incorporate energy efficient strategies through natural evaporative cooling, thermal mass materials to conserve heat in Winter and cool in Summer, night ventilation, cooling fans and dehumidification technology. Project funding is through a grant included in Prop 68, the California Parks and Water Bond Act, which provides assistance for drought, water, parks, climate, coastal protection, and outdoor access for government sponsored programs.
